Brief Introduction
Located in Beijing, the national capital of China, Renmin University of China is one of the best public key universities in the country. According to the Ministry of Education’s appraisal release of 2009, 7 disciplines of the university, namely Applied Economics, Theoretical Economics, Law, Political Science, Sociology, Journalism & Communication and Marxism Studies have been ranked No.1 nationwide, Philosophy and Library Information and Archive Management No.2 and Business Administration No.3. These remarkable data has once again proved the leadership of Renmin in humanities and social sciences of Chinese higher education.
In addition to the International Summer School initiated last year, we now honorably present international students with seven MA Programs delivered 100% in English, namely Master of Chinese Law, Master of Contemporary China Studies, Master of Chinese Economy, Master of Chinese Finance, Master of Chinese Classics(Chinese History, Philosophy and Literature), International MBA and International MPA. These 7 programs will provide students worldwide with excellent opportunities to learn more about contemporary China as well as Chinese’s culture. Please note that all our programs offer scholarships with as high a coverage as 80%! Applicants can find more details in the following procedures and brochures.
Application Procedure
1、 Browsing program brochures and getting information
In 2010, Renmin University of China (RUC) offers 7 Master programs in English to international students. For more details of the programs, please refer to the attached brochures of each program in the “Downloads” area at the bottom of the page. We highly recommend you look over the brochures for further information before you start the application.
2、 Complete the application form
You can find the APPLICATOIN FORM in the “Downloads” area at the bottom of the page. Please make sure that the information provided is accurate and complete.
3、 Scholarship
Applicants may apply for scholarships with a coverage as high as 80%. Scholarships include: (a)Full-scholarship with tuition exemption plus free on-campus accommodation, and a certain amount of living subsidy(b)Scholarship with tuition exemption(c)Scholarship with partial tuition exemption, etc. Please contact relevant schools for further information.
4、 Application Submission and preliminary review
Application materials: Application Form and other materials required. Please note that the application materials required may vary according to different programs, and this year’s application deadline is June 30, 2010. When all the application materials are ready, please submit them to the contact person of each program in person or by postal mail. All applications are first assessed by the admission committee of relevant school. The applicants selected for further interview will be notified by the school.
5、 Interview and decide candidates
The interview will be organized by the relevant school. Applicants notified for the interview should attend the interview at required time and place with the right documents. The school will report to the University for final approval of admission.
6、 Approval and results release
The University will release the list of acceptance. You may contact the International Students Office or the contact person of each program for the admission result.
7、 Admission Notice
The International Students Office will send the Admission Notice, Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) and other related admission documents to you upon acceptance. Please note that we will send the above documents to the postal address indicated in the application form by postal mail. You may also come to pick up them at the International Students Office in person or by trustee.
8、 Registration
International students accepted should formally register at the right place and time which is specified in the Admission Notice.
