On April 23rd, Dr. Liu Jinghui, Secretary-General of China Scholarship Council, met with Mr. Colin Walters, the Group Manager of Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations of Australian government. Secretary-General Liu expressed welcome on behalf of CSC to Mr. Colin Walters and his delegation, and introduced to him the scholarship programs conducted by CSC in both sending Chinese students and scholars to study in Australian universities and research institutions, and receiving Australian students to study in Chinese universities. Mr. Colin Walters appreciated CSC’s great efforts towards educational exchange between China and Australia all along and said that Australian government would further support for scientific research of Australian universities. He introduced the Endeavour Awards which was lately set up by Australian government. They also discussed about living conditions of Chinese students studying in Australia and the possibility of setting up new joint Programs during the meeting.
