|Chinese Embassy in The Central African Republic hosted a farewell luncheon on September 3, 2008 for the students who have been awarded 2008/2009 Chinese Government Scholarship. More than 80 guests attended the luncheon, including The Central African Republic Information Minister, ministerial level representatives of Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Education, director of President House General Office, diplomats from diplomatic missions, and journalists from mainstream media.
Ambassador Mr. Shi Hu pointed out in his speech that Chinese government highly values developing friendly cooperative relationship with The Central African Republic. Providing scholarships to The Central African Republic students to study in China is a part of the Chinese government’s effort to improve local HR training and self-development ability. He expressed his hope that students will make the most of the opportunity, try their best to learn knowledge, and make contributions to their motherland. And he hoped that students will strengthen the exchanges with Chinese young people, and promote the friendly relations between the two countries. Mr. Ambroise Zawa, ministerial level representative of Ministry of Education, on behalf of The Central African Republic government, extended gratitude to Chinese government for the great assistance in HR training. He said, The Central African Republic president Francois Bozize and the government also attach great importance to developing friendly cooperative relationship with China. Talents cultivated by Chinese government will take the responsibility of national construction in the future. He hoped that students will study hard in China. Ministerial level representative of Ministry of Education also said the bilateral relations will become better with the increasing number of HR training year by year.
