Ningbo University is located in the historical and cultural city of Ningbo of Zhejiang Province, bordering on the East China Sea, facing north to Shanghai across the Hangzhou Bay. It covers an area of 9,365 km2 and has a population of 5.4 million.
Ningbo University is a dynamic, young and comprehensive university. It is one of the key universities in Zhejiang Province. The university consists of 19 faculties and colleges, offers 3 doctoral programs, 56 master programs and 71 bachelor programs. It has a wide range of disciplines such as economics, law, education, liberal arts, history, science, engineering, agronomy, medicine and management.
The university has 2,400 teaching and administrative staff members, of which 1300 are teachers, with 279 full professors and 699 associate professors. It has 23,000 full-time undergraduate students, over 2000 in-residency postgraduates and 200 international students.
Ningbo University is one of the Chinese universities which are officially authorized by MOE for the recruitment of international students sponsored by government scholarships. The university offers a variety of education programs for foreign students, ranging from short-term Chinese language training programs to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Over 1,000 international students from about 40 countries and areas have benefited from these well-designed programs, of which, a 4-year bachelor degree program of Chinese Language, a 4-year bachelor degree program and master degree program of international business management with English Teaching Medium are offered specially for international students. Besides, the university has a HSK Examination Center and an overseas Confucius Institute.
Bachelor Degree Program of International Business Management (English Teaching Medium)
A 4-year bachelor degree program of international business management with English Teaching Medium is jointly launched by Ningbo University in China and University of Manitoba (UM) in Canada. It adopts the advanced teaching philosophy and teaching administrative system through the introduction of curriculum, course outline and teaching methodology from UM. Both institutes admit credit transfer within this program. Core courses offered by NBU are presented in English.

The program aims at fostering versatile, innovational, and practical international business managerial professionals equipped with an international vision, English proficiency and business expertise in fields of trade, management and research either in the enterprises or in the governments.

Master Degree Program of International Business Management (English Teaching Medium)
The joint MBA Program between Ningbo University (NBU) of China and the University of Canberra (UC) of Australia was started upon the approval of the Education Committee of Zhejiang Province, China in 2001. It was the first international joint MBA program in Ningbo, China. It aims at fostering a cradle of Ningbo managerial professionals and serving the local economic development. Up to now, nearly 300 advanced managerial professionals have graduated from this program and been well recognized in the local society. NBU-UC MBA is now a famous brand in the whole province and even in China.
Educational Objective
The program pursues to train senior managerial professionals equipped with sound business management knowledge and capabilities as well as an international vision and pioneering spirit.
Curriculum
l 12 units in total.
l 6 units are taught by Ningbo University in English.

Prospective Applicants
l Bachelor degree holders with a minimum of 2-year work experience.
l 3-year diploma holders with a minimum of 4-year work experience.
l Bachelor degree holders without work experience are enrolled as GDBA students (Graduate Diploma in Business Administration) and would then be eligible to enroll in the MBA on successful completion of the GDBA.

Testamur
1. Students of non-English speaking countries meeting the following requirements can obtain the standard UC testamur, which is the same as that delivered in UC Australian campus:
(a). Achieve a result of IELTS 6.0 with no components below 6.0, or TOEFL 550, or 213 in the computerised TOEFL (with a minimum 5 in the Essay Rating) before the start of the program.
(b). Pass all units.
2. Students of the above countries who pass all units, but do not achieve the required IELTS or TOEFL scores before the start of MBA program, will receive the testamur with an extra sentence on it -- “Taught in English and Chinese”.

Applications must be made on the University of Canberra application form. These should be accompanied by the following documents:

3. A certified copy of College Academic Transcript and its English translation,
4. A certified copy of College Award received and its English translation,
5. A certified copy of the proof of English ability (if applicable),
6. A certified copy of the proof of work experience (if applicable),

All the above application documents should be sent via email and the original ones are required to be reviewed before the start of the program.
